Sport Festival in the Heart of the Tuchola Forest
The Wielonek Trail Festival is behind us — and what a day it was. Runners of all levels flooded the trails of the Borów Tucholskich, from seasoned athletes who came to chase a personal best to first-timers who just wanted to try something new and ended up falling in love with forest running.
The festival had something for everyone — multiple distances, a family-friendly route, and trails that wound through ancient pine forests, past shimmering lakes, and across the rolling hills that make this corner of Poland feel like a secret the rest of the world hasn't discovered yet.
What Made This Year Unforgettable
- Over 300 participants from across Poland and neighboring countries
- Family-friendly 5 km route designed for parents and children running together
- Live music and a community fair at the finish village
- Local food producers showcasing regional Kuyavian-Pomeranian cuisine
- Awards ceremony with handcrafted trophies made by local artisans
We organised this event together with the Lubiewo Municipality and a brilliant team of local volunteers. Every registration fee and every donation collected on the day went straight into our community aid programs — supporting families across the region who needed it most.
Thank you to every runner, volunteer, sponsor, and spectator who made this happen. You are proof that sport can be so much more than competition — it can be the thing that pulls a community together and makes everyone feel like they belong.
The next edition is already in the works. Follow us on social media so you don't miss early registration — places go fast, and we'd love to see you on the trails.

Recognition
May 20, 2026
Official Patronage of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivode
We're still a little overwhelmed by this one. Our Festival of Sporting Events in the Tuchola Forest has received the official patronage of the Voivode of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. For a foundation built by volunteers on goodwill and determination, this kind of recognition means everything.
The Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship is a region we love deeply — its forests, its lakes, its people. Having the official backing of the regional governor tells us that what we're doing here — spreading joy through sport, volunteering, and community — genuinely matters to the people who shape this region's future.
Why This Matters to Us
This patronage isn't just a certificate on a wall. It opens real doors — to new partnerships with local governments, schools, sports clubs, and businesses who share our values. And it sends a message to every family, participant, and donor who has trusted us: you backed the right people.
- Enhanced cooperation with regional authorities and institutions
- Greater reach for our volunteer recruitment campaigns
- Stronger platform for advocating social inclusion through sport
- Recognition of our volunteers and staff for their dedication
Thank you to the Voivode's office, and thank you to every partner, volunteer, and supporter who helped build something worth recognising. This doesn't make us complacent — it makes us want to work even harder.

Partnership

New Goals and a Shared Future with Lubiewo Municipality
We sat down with the Lubiewo Municipality, looked at everything we'd built together, and asked: what if we did more? The answer was yes — and this renewed partnership is the result. It's an exciting new chapter for our foundation and for everyone we serve together.
Lubiewo has been with us from the very beginning. Together we've organised sporting events, distributed aid, run children's programs, and created cultural moments that touched thousands of lives. This new agreement builds on all of that — and sets some genuinely exciting goals for the years ahead.
Key Areas of Cooperation
- Sport and Recreation: Joint organization of the Wielonek Triathlon Challenge and Trail Festival, with expanded infrastructure and participation targets.
- Social Aid: Coordinated food and essential goods distribution programs for families experiencing hardship, with streamlined logistics and broader reach.
- Children and Youth: After-school programs, summer camps, and workshops that combine physical activity with creative and social development.
- Volunteering: A shared volunteer database and training program to build a stronger, more resilient community of helpers across the municipality.
- Environmental Awareness: Clean-up initiatives and outdoor education programs in the Tuchola Forest that connect residents with their natural environment.
The Mayor of Lubiewo and our Foundation's board signed the agreement surrounded by local officials, volunteers, and community members. The atmosphere in the room was something you had to feel to understand — genuine excitement, genuine commitment, genuine belief that together we can make Lubiewo a model of what community-driven development can look like.
We can't wait to see what we build together. If you'd like to be part of it — as a volunteer, a donor, or a community partner — please visit our Contact page or Volunteer page. There's room for you here.

Wielonek Triathlon Challenge — Another Successful Edition
The Wielonek Triathlon Challenge came back, and it was spectacular. Athletes from across Poland descended on Lake Koronowo and the Wielonek area for a day that reminded everyone why they fell in love with triathlon in the first place. In just a few short years, this event has become one of the most warmly regarded triathlons in northern Poland — and we're incredibly proud of that.
The format is classic triathlon: an open-water swim in the crystal-clear Lake Koronowo, a cycling leg through the gorgeous Kuyavian-Pomeranian countryside, and a run through the trails and villages of the Wielonek area. Challenging enough for serious athletes, welcoming enough for enthusiastic first-timers. That balance is something we work hard to get right.
The Numbers That Made Us Smile
- 250+ registered participants across all age categories
- Competitors from 12 Polish voivodeships and 4 other countries
- Youngest finisher: 18 years old; oldest finisher: 67 years old
- 50+ volunteers ensuring safety, logistics, and a warm welcome
- Funds raised donated to the Foundation's community aid programs
Beyond the race itself, there was a family zone where children could try triathlon activities for the first time in a safe, fun environment. Local food, live music, and a prize ceremony that felt more like a party than an awards show. The finish line was just the beginning of the celebrations.
The next edition takes place on September 20, 2026. Don't wait too long — places fill up. Register now at b4sportonline.pl/wtc and we'll see you at the start line.

Children & Youth
July 2025
Superhero Summer Camp for Children
This past summer, we gave children something they'll talk about for years. Our Superhero Summer Camp was a full week of adventures — designed to build confidence, spark creativity, encourage teamwork, and get kids moving — all wrapped up in the kind of imaginative, joyful theme that makes children's eyes go wide.
Mornings started with superhero training (yes, really). Then came workshops in art, drama, and storytelling. Afternoons were for outdoor adventures: nature hikes, obstacle courses, team challenges, and water activities at a nearby lake. Evenings brought everyone together around the campfire for stories, games, and the kind of quiet reflection that children don't realise they need until they're in the middle of it.
What They Took Home With Them
- A personalized superhero costume and illustrated "Hero ID Card"
- New friendships built through teamwork and shared adventures
- Greater confidence and a sense of their own unique strengths
- Memories of a summer filled with laughter, movement, and creativity
Many of the children who attended come from families facing real hardship. For them, this wasn't just a fun week — it was a week of safety, nourishment, and belonging. Our volunteers and staff worked tirelessly to make sure every single child felt seen, valued, and genuinely celebrated for who they are.
We're already planning next year's edition. If you'd like to sponsor a child's place at camp, please get in touch. Your support doesn't just pay for a week of fun — it gives a child a memory they'll carry for the rest of their life.

Social Aid
December 2024
Food Aid for Families in Need
As winter set in, we knew that for many families in our community, the cold months would bring more than just low temperatures. So we got to work. Together with local authorities, businesses, and individual donors, we assembled and distributed hundreds of food parcels to families who needed them most — making sure no one went hungry while we were able to do something about it.
We started with a collection drive at local schools, supermarkets, and community centres. The response was overwhelming — within two weeks, we had enough donations to assemble over 400 complete food parcels. Each one contained staple goods, seasonal produce, and a small festive treat, because we wanted every household to feel that someone had thought of them specifically.
The People We Were Able to Reach
- Elderly residents living alone without family support
- Single-parent families with young children
- Families affected by job loss or illness
- Residents in remote rural areas with limited access to services
Our volunteers spent three full days packing and delivering — driving out to remote villages, knocking on doors, making sure nobody was left out. Many of the people who received parcels didn't just say thank you for the food. They said thank you for remembering them. That's the part that stays with you.
This campaign is a reminder of why we exist: to turn compassion into action, and to make sure that joy isn't something only the lucky ones get to feel. Thank you to every donor, volunteer, and partner who made it happen. You are the reason this works.
If you'd like to support our social aid programs, please get in touch or donate. Need doesn't take a holiday — and neither do we.
